AMADA announces the members of athletes advisory commision

The role of athletes in the fight against doping and promotion of clean sport is extremely important. Considering this as one of the priorities Azerbaijan National Anti-Doping Agency (AMADA) has established Athletes Advisory Commission.

Its mission will be to represent athletes within AMADA and advice it on the issues related to the protection of athletes’ rights and promotion of clean sport. The Commission will serve as a liaison between athletes and AMADA.

The Commission is built up of twelve member athletes. The below mentioned athletes are nominated by the sports federations of the republic, and two are selected through open selection process.

The principles of gender equality and balance among athletes representing different age groups have been adhered to ensure fairness and diversity in the selection process. The Athletes Advisory Commission, which includes representatives of various sports, is represented by the following athletes:

Rustam Orujov - Judo
Ruslan Abishov - Football


It should be noted that the rotations will be held regularly to ensure fair and equitable representation of all sports within the Commission.
