Anti-Doping Hackathon in Azerbaijan

The Azerbaijan Anti-Doping Agency (AMADA) carried out a hackathon to improve the doping control process.

The hackathon was organized by SUP Accelerator. Eight teams of developers and engineers competed for 48 hours, trying to solve two main and two additional tasks. The winning team was awarded three thousand AZN.

“The field of anti-doping is developing rapidly, new challenges arise here every day. In order to overcome them, we must use new technologies. That’s why IT innovations are one of the main components of our strategy. This is a part of the strategic plan for 2019-2022. This hackathon will help us achieve this goal on the one hand, and help the development of the IT community in Azerbaijan on the other hand” - said Shafag Huseynli, AMADA’s CEO, during the closing ceremony.

According to her, the product that will be created as a result of the hackathon can be another innovation of AMADA.

“AMADA is a relatively young organization. We have been around for 2.5 years. However, in this short time we were able to introduce a number of innovations to the anti-doping world. I hope that the product that will be created as a result of this hackathon will be one of such innovations”, - Sh.Huseynli noted.
