The Azerbaijan National Anti-Doping Agency (AMADA) and the Gilavar Photography Club have successfully concluded the international photo competition titled “Olympic Spirit: Beyond Victory and Defeat.”

Organized in line with international photography standards through the platform of the International Association of Artistic Photographers (IAAP), the competition focused on themes such as the joy of victory, the sorrow of defeat, unforgettable moments from the Games, the promotion of pure sportsmanship, and the principles of fair play. Special emphasis was placed on photographs of Azerbaijani athletes captured by international photographers during the selection process.

A total of 53 photographers from 27 countries submitted 205 photographs to the competition. An esteemed panel of international judges—Azerbaijani photographer Ilgar Jafarov, Italian photographer Umberto Deramo, and Egyptian photographer Yasser Alaa Mobarak—evaluated the submissions, ultimately awarding prizes to 25 photographers.

Notably, three Azerbaijani photographers—Dilaver Najafov, Zaur Mustafayev, and Naib Ahmadov—were among the winners, receiving well-deserved recognition for their outstanding contributions.

As part of AMADA's international conference, titled "Clean Victory: Rethinking the Olympic Year," held in Baku on December 16, a special exhibition showcased the winning photographs from the competition, highlighting their artistic and thematic significance.
