As part of the “Play True Week – 2025” initiative launched by the Azerbaijan National Antidoping Agency (AMADA), a dedicated event was held on April 11 — Play True Day — at the Azerbaijan Sports Academy (ASA), bringing together students in celebration of clean sport values.
Organized with the support of ASA, the event aimed to raise awareness among young people about the principles of clean sport, encouraging fair play, integrity, and ethical competition.
The opening ceremony featured remarks from Fuad Hajiyev, Rector of ASA, and Tahmina Taghi-zada, CEO of AMADA. Both speakers underscored the importance of integrity and rule adherence in sport, stressing that cultivating ethical conduct requires not only regulations but also comprehensive educational outreach.
The program began with an interactive quiz designed to test participants’ knowledge on anti-doping regulations, the values of clean sport, and fair competition. Students who demonstrated strong performance in the quiz were recognized with prizes.
Following the quiz, attendees took part in a team-based activity to develop creative strategies for promoting clean sport. Each group presented their ideas, combining innovation, teamwork, and presentation skills. The most compelling strategy was selected through participant voting, and its creators were awarded for their efforts.
In the next segment, students penned symbolic motivational letters to future athletes. These letters, addressed to the next generation, conveyed messages of sportsmanship, honesty, and the ethical foundation of clean sport.
The event, which was met with great enthusiasm by the students, concluded with a commemorative group photo.
