AMADA joins International Working Group led by UKAD

The Azerbaijan National Anti-Doping Agency (AMADA) has been invited to participate in a newly established Data Analytics working group, spearheaded by UK Anti-Doping (UKAD). This collaborative initiative brings together anti-doping agencies from the USA, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, and Denmark, alongside global organizations such as the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA), the International Testing Agency (ITA), and the Athletics Integrity Unit (AIU).

The primary goal of the working group is to enhance global anti-doping efforts through the power of data analytics and artificial intelligence. By pooling expertise and conducting joint research, the group aims to develop cutting-edge methods that will enable more precise, effective, and targeted approaches to testing and education.

On October 9, 2024, the working group convened online under the leadership of UKAD and Sport Integrity Australia to discuss integrating data analytics into anti-doping testing and education. The discussions underscored how data-driven insights can improve testing protocols and tailor them to address specific challenges.

The group is now preparing for an in-person meeting in London, scheduled for November 26-27, 2024. These discussions will further explore the role of data analytics and artificial intelligence in shaping the future of anti-doping practices.

By participating in this working group, AMADA reaffirms its commitment to advancing international efforts to combat doping through innovative technologies and solutions.
